Yngwie Flattstein finishes guitar part on 'Power'
Today Yngwie Flattstein, world genius of Heavy Metal, completed his Brian May style guitar part today on 'I Have the Power'. Special thanks go to R. Champagne for lending us his genuine 'Red Special' guitar for over a week to complete these parts. Part was recorded remote at Yngwie's practice space (former location of the C.O.G. lab!), through a Celestion loaded open-back 'KDM' cabinet, powered by a Marshall 1200 amp, with a DOD crybaby pedal set at 10% to obtain that elusive tone. A Shure 57 was used to mic the cab, with a blanket thrown over the front. 6 different solos were recorded, as well as additional parts, to be edited in the finished product. This guitar work will be supplemented by Dr. A's guitar at some point in the near future.
